What is that in the shadows!?! Could it
possibly be yet another Not @ All cartoon? As it moves closer into
the light we see that, yes, yes indeed it is a new Halloween themed
cartoon. It is the last cartoon of the week, and another day closer
to Halloween.
So today's joke incorporates one of the
three major icons in the slasher genre of horror. Although Jason is
not my favorite, he does command a certain amount of respect. The
look alone is enough to make you wet yourself. The great thing about
Jason is the fact that he did not star in all of the Friday the 13th
movies, not making his true appearance until number two, something
that he shares with Michael Myers. The first movie started an elderly
killer in the forum of Jason's mother, and thankfully that was the
last we ever saw of her. I don't think the series would have lasted
long if the mother ended up going behind the hockey mask. The Friday
the 13th series is one of the biggest in the slasher genre, even
spawning a short lived TV series, which had nothing to do with Jason,
the hockey mask, or his trade mark machete. Jason vs Freddy was the
first time ever two classic movie icons from horror ever crossed
paths, but hopefully not the last as I would one day love to see
Jason vs Michael Myers.
