Beneath you the earth rumbles and
shakes. You know that something is coming, something large. Your
heart leaps in your chest, all the way to your throat. It should be
panic that grips your nerves, and yet it is something else. The
calming sensation that a brand new Not @ All cartoon is here.
Yet again I have done a Godzilla
cartoon. This time I put in there the American Godzilla, who is
dubbed Gino buy fans ( Godzilla in name only) and Zilla buy the
lovely people at Toho. The nineteen ninety nine Sony pictures
Godzilla by Devlin and Emmerich was, to most fans of the franchise,
the worst piece of crap ever made. Even to most movie fans, it shines
as a beacon of shimmering crap. I however, think this movie is very
under rated. All things considered, this was a very decent giant
monster movie, if you remove the name Godzilla from it. With the name
Godzilla, you expect the movie to star a giant dinosaur that spits
radioactive fire and is near impossible to be beaten. What you got
was a giant lizard that laid eggs, ate tuna, and was taken out by the
French and Matthew Broderick. But if you called the movie, Giant
Reptile Eats New York, well then you have yourself one fine film for
those who happen to like giant monster movies. That is to say, this
was a not bad contribution to the genre for America, who does not
nearly do enough giant monster movies. No way am I saying that this
is a movie that should be considered for the Oscars, or is in a top
ten list of the best giant monster movies of all time. But if it was
on cable one night, I say it is worth a look, or at least worth
another look.
Well folks that is going to do it for
today. Thanks for stopping by and checking in, I hope this cartoon
and my crazy ideas about a giant reptile have entertained you, and I
hope you come back again on Friday for the end of the week cartoon.
Until then, take care and pass on the good word of what we got going
on here. Spread the love folks.... thats it, spread that love.
